and the local academic community. Its principal original aim was to offer for the first time in Macedonia the opportunity for speakers of the Albanian language to participate in accredited higher education in the Albanian language, while being open to all. SEEU today concentrates on offering high quality higher education and research opportunities in three languages (Albanian, Macedonian and English) with increasing concentration on subjects taught in English at both first (BA/BSc) and second (MA/MSc/LLM) cycle.
Today SEEU is the largest private-public not for profit university, with the highest number of students in Macedonia. It has many established links with universities in Europe, the United States and elsewhere.

Academic Programmes

SEEU is a unitary University with five faculties, featuring undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the socio-economic disciplines, Business and Economics, Public Administration and Political Science, Law, Contemporary Sciences and Technologies, Languages, Cultures, and Communication. All programmes offered by the University are modular and follow the pattern of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), conform to the Bologna Agreement, giving students the flexibility to specialize or take a more broadly-based programme; SEEU diplomas are recognized in a wide international/European perspective.
Since its establishment, SEEU offers study programmes in three languages: Albanian, Macedonian and English.
