Gold originally said that this album was heavily influenced by a NALi album: NALITOPIA. He also said that the main bass and lead guitar riffs came directly from advice he had received from NALi Superstar Nate Syme. He later denied this statement and corrected himself that it was indeed directed at lead singer/keys/rhythm guitarist Thomas Nissen.
