, Government of India, declared Siksha O Anusandhan deemed to be a university on 17 July 2007. In between the UGC expert team reviewed the SOA University during 10–12 August 2009 and has recommended an extension of three years effective from 2009/10 academic sessions. Besides, the NAAC team has accredited SOA University with “A” grade in the academic session w.e.f. 30th September, 2009. All the eligible programs are NBA accredited and the University is ISO certified by United Registrar of Systems (URS).

History

Siksha O Anusandhan University began in 1996 as the Institute of Technical Education & Research (ITER). Institutes providing instruction in Management, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Medical Science, Bio-technology, Dental Sciences, and Nursing were then established. These institutions were then organized and granted university status in 2007.
