" page 379) his famous book about Pakhtoons,"Shalmani or shilmani,شلمانى are "Banu Bakht,بنو بخت" Israel who were living in an area "Shalman,شلمان" in Syria.These Banu Bakht were the land lords of shalman(شلمان),Ainab(عيناب) and Baiswad(بيسود) at the border of Lebanon and Syria. But when they exiled to Khorasan(خراسان),they were known as shalmani and Baiswad in Khorasan because of their place name "Shalman" in Syria.And still they are called Shalmani". According to Eng.Farid Shahzada Khan Shalmani "this area Shilman is still present with same name at the border of Lebanon and Syria near Hera Water Fall(شلال حرا) along Al-Asee river(نهر العاصى), one of the famous waterfalls of Lebanon. But now Shilman area is completely in the territory of Lebanese Government. Again according to Eng. Farid Shilmani the same shilman is named to an area and city in Kordestan Iran whose geographical coordinates are 35° 51' 16" North, 46° 1' 8" East. Similarly Shalman in Gilan and Rud-e-shalman(Shalman River,رود شلمان) the fourth largest river in Iran famous for fishing. Another example is the shalmani tribe of Libya e.g. Libyan Poet Mohammed Abdelsalam al-Shilmani .There is a soccer referee Abdel Hakim Shelmani from Libya.There is one volcano Mountain Shalman Mountain(جبل شلمان) near Jabal Hil in Makkah Saudi Arabia. This mountain is 6500–4000 years old. Another shalman area is present in south eastern Egypt.(go to reference below).

Haji Zubair Shah(late),Malik Hazrat Shah (late), Hakim Shah (late) Mr. Naik Khan Shalmani(Late), Mr.Gulistan Khan Shalmani(Late), Mr. Naik Amal Khan Shalmani, Mr. Zeban Shah Shalmani(Late) Zeran Shah Shalmani (Late), Shakir ulllah (Late) Rahman ullah Urf (Babu) Sarkai Bala, Mailk Rahim Shah Shalmani(Late) Sakhakot bazar, Muhammad Nisar Shalmani Sakhakot Bazar Malakand Agency & Sarkai Bala, Mr. Mata-Wakil Khan Shalmani (Bhama Dhera). They are politicians and landlords and belong to different political parties. In Malakand agency Mr. Mohammad Saeed Ghamgeen Shalmani and Baba Abdul Rahman Shalmani are the famous Pakhtun poets; they belong to Aladand Derai Batkhela Malakand agency. In Khyber agency Shalman Valley, Malik Ghazi Gul Shalmani Wazir Khil(late) has been a prominent tribal leader, Gran Bacha Shalmani and Habibullah Khan Shalmani are local politicians of the Shilmani tribe in their region. The most famous and holy person among the Khyber Shalmanis is Hazrat Sheikh Gul Sahib Shalmani, son of Hazrat Haji Gul (RA); he is a religious person. In Swat District,Engineer Mr. Farid Shahzada Khan Shalmani of Tehsil Matta Village Sijban, Mohib Gul Shalmani of Pishtonai, Umar Rahim Shalmani of Bulkarai, Sayyad Ahmad Khan Shalmani of Barthana and Mr. Sayyad Kareem Khan Shalmani advocate of Mingora are serving as students of the Israeli concept of Pakhtun history.To this day, the Shilmani tribes work side by side with Pashtun tribes to serve the Pakhtun nation and all of humanity in different fields like education, economy, religion, defence and agriculture.
The Shalmani tribe also live in Thana and Palai Malakand Agency. The forefather of Shalmani tribe in Thana was Qazi Abdul Hai Shah the small village in Ramora Chakdara is also known on the name of Abdul Hai Shah.The son of Qazi Abdul Hai Shah Shalmani,Mr. Qazi Abdul Karim Shalmani Shaheed fought against the British ruler in 1895.The Qazi Abdul Karim Shalmani embraced Shahdat(martyred) in the historical Gaza(battle) of Malakand.The tomb of Qazi Abdul Karim Shalmani Shaheed is near bypass Thana.Dr. Ahmad Khan Shalmani Late,Fazal Karim Shalmai Late,Professor Khurshed Roshan Gold Medalist, Fazal Ghaffar Shalmani(Educationest/retired head master), Muhammad Jamil Taj Shalmani(journalist),Arshad Karim Shalmanisocial worker), Muhammad Aimal Khan Shalmani(political figure),Muhammad salim Salmani,Muhammad Ali Shalmani.
Muhammad Kaleem Shalmani,Muhammad Ajmal Shalmani,Azlaan Shalmani,Hassaan Ahmad Shalmani, late Muhammad Ameen Shalmani, Muhammad Ikram Shalmani, Zaheen Ahmad Shalmani, Muhammad Waseem Shalmani, Muhammad Faheem shalmani, Shah Fahad Shalmani,Saad Shalmani,Shahzad Ahmad Shalmani,Hasnain Ahmad Shalmani,Fazli Wahab Kamil Shalmani(Poet) are the known figures of this tribe in Thana Malakand. Engr. Izhar ul Haq Shalmani of ALLADAND, Fida Jan Shalmani of ALLADAND Asstt. Secretary, BISE MALAKAND.
