Shahi Island or King Island is the largest island in Urmia Lake, East Azerbaijan Province in Iran

. King Island is 23,000 hectares and is located in eastern part of the lake. The island is the only residential island of the lake which has seven villages named Sarai

, Temirli, and Bahramabad. Nowadays, by shrinking the lake this region is connected to the mainland and cannot be considered an island anymore.

In 1265, Mongol king Hulaku Khan was buried in a mountain in the island supposedly with all of his fantastic wealth. His tomb has still not been uncovered.
