It was made known on June 30, 2009, that Cissé will leave Roda, as he will join one of the major clubs in the Eredivisie; Feyenoord. On July 5, 2009, the transfer was officially announced on the website of Feyenoord, after he passed an medical test. It was announced that Cissé will sign a 5-year contract with Feyenoord.
