From his student life he was interested in drama and other performing arts. At that time Oriya film industry was not as developed Film was produced once in a year.At that time he was offered a role in film Laxmi puja. After that there was no looking back.
At that time he was the Super Star of Oriya Film Industry.He has acted in about 40 films,besides few television serials. He has also directed few Oriya films like Tapoi,Ashanta graha etc.
