Saint-Ouen is a commune of the Seine-Saint-Denis located in the northern suburbs of Paris, France. This Francilienne town is located 6.6 km (4.1 miles) from the center of Paris.
The communes neighbouring Saint-Ouen are Paris to the south, Clichy to the west, Asnières-sur-Seine and L'Île-Saint-Denis to the north, and Saint-Denis to the east.
Saint-Ouen is home to Paris's flea market, the most important concentration of antique dealers and second-hand furniture dealers in the world.

The communes neighbouring Saint-Ouen are Paris to the south, Clichy to the west, Asnières-sur-Seine and L'Île-Saint-Denis to the north, and Saint-Denis to the east.
Saint-Ouen is home to Paris's flea market, the most important concentration of antique dealers and second-hand furniture dealers in the world. The flea market (marché aux puces) is held every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday; because of this high frequency, compared to other flea markets, it has for a long time consisted only of professionals renting their spot for a minimum term of three years.
Saint-Ouen also includes the Cimetière de Saint-Ouen, a Roman Catholic cemetery associated with Joan of Arc.
History
On January 1, 1860, the city of Paris was enlarged by annexing neighboring communes. On that occasion, a part of the commune of Saint-Ouen was annexed to the city of Paris. At the same time, the commune of La Chapelle-Saint-Denis was disbanded and divided between the city of Paris, Saint-Ouen, Saint-Denis, and Aubervilliers. Saint-Ouen received a small part of the territory of La Chapelle-Saint-Denis. The commune of Montmartre was also disbanded. The city of Paris annexed the most part of Montmartre, but Saint-Ouen received a small northern part of the territory of the commune of Montmartre.
Administration The canton of Saint-Ouen includes only part of the commune. The other part belongs to the canton of Saint-Denis-Sud (South).
Transport
Saint-Ouen is served by two stations on Paris Métro Line 13: Garibaldi and Mairie de Saint-Ouen.
Saint-Ouen is also served by Saint-Ouen station on Paris RER line C.
