Career

Rubens took a lot of brick and cement to build a successful career.

A bicycle tire with thin asphalt was the first means of transportation, who worked as a bricklayer in his hometown.

In 2000, he had to make a difficult decision and that would forever change his life, he stopped working and devoted himself exclusively to the sport.

In 2001 he got his first sponsorship.

It was from that moment that Rubens had a vision in your life to represent Brazil in the Olympics.

After many wins in competitions all over Brazil and outside the Olympic dream of Rubens began in 2007.

He was called to join the national team mountain bike that he competed in the Pan American Games in Rio, and surprisingly, the athlete takes the silver medal.

The athlete won the 2008 Brazilian championship title of mountain biking and, consequently, the vacancy for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games where he was getting the best Brazilian in the 21 th position.
