. His first book written in 1974 was Did Spacemen Colonise the Earth? in the book he claimed that humans were brought to earth from races of ancient spacemen (extraterrestrial humanoids). In his book Ancient Astronauts: A Time Reversal? (1976) propounded the theory that faster-than- light travel is not only possible but has been a reality for thousands of years. He also wrote in the book that ancient astronauts waged war on various societies on earth by plasma guns

). In his book Prehistoric Germ Warfare (1980) Collyns claimed that many of the viruses on earth are due to the remnants of a biological war that was fought out many thousands of years ago.
