Academic career

An Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, Beck also teaches in the Global Studies degree program. In addition, he currently serves as Chief Information Officer for UWM's College of Letters and Science.

Beck served UWM's Center for International Education from 2000 until June of 2011. From 1998-2000, he served as Director of Tufts University
