The park's main attractions are walking trails, where dogs are permitted, and Lake Roland

The park includes a newly reconstructed pedestrian bridge over the Jones Falls. There is also an off-leash dog park named Paw Point. Outside of the dog park, a leash is required for all dogs. There are park rangers walking around to enforce leash laws and other rules. Rangers are instructed to issue citations to violators.

The park was closed in late 2009 for extensive renovations. It reopened to the public on Friday, October 14, 2011.
