After years of touring both sides of the Atlantic, brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass began performing as Right Said Fred in 1989, and were joined by Rob Manzoli in 1990.

Two songs from the "I'm A Celebrity" album "This Love" and "I'm A Celebrity" have both charted on the US Dance Charts.

In late July 2009, Right Said Fred issued a press release through their website to announce that a new single, called "Sexy Bum", would be available for download. It was released first in Germany and then in other countries. It was the first new single from the forthcoming "HITS!" album, due in late 2009, celebrating 18 years in the pop business.

At the beginning of September 2009 Right Said Fred recorded a special version of their 2002 song "Stand Up (For The Champions)" as a club anthem for the Watford-based rugby union club Saracens RFC, retitled "Stand Up (For The Saracens)". It is now played at their home games and has become a terrace rugby song for the Sarries fans.
In 2010 Right Said Fred signed a new deal with Icebreaker. In between touring they have recorded a new album, developed at new website www.rightsaidfred.com and filmed a DVD at the Leicester Sq Theatre.
A new album entitled Stop the World

In October 2011 The Freds released a statement via their website saying:

"On a night out Clubbing in town the boys are attracted to the Titanic Bar (Ayia Napa) where the crowd are going crazy and the music is being played by DJ Trio-Jet (aged 19).

Conversations are struck up and soon the boys are all together in the DJ box and the late night crowd are now going even more mental.

Trio- Jet is invited to the studio to collaborate on some recording the next day and soon it becomes evident that this is a match made in Heaven (or Cyprus) and they are on the verge of creating a monster hit together.

The result is RAISE YOUR HANDS."
