 Colonel Ilyanov is sent by train to a Siberian town to investigate the deaths of local Soviet Communist Party officials. During his investigations, Ilyanov notes that the dead officials were drained of their blood. He also meets a young woman named Valentina, whom Ilyanov learns from the records had been exiled by Joseph Stalin

 50 years before. One of the town party officials, Polvin, insists that Valentina is nothing more than a descendant of the original woman.

As the investigation continues, Ilyanov and the town mayor, Titov, go to search an abandoned church. Before they enter, they hear a wolf wailing in the distance. Ilyanov follows the sound and finds the woman Valentina, with vampire

 fangs, feasting on the wolf's blood. Ilyanov is knocked unconscious but, upon awakening, he demands to return to the abandoned church. Inside, he finds many empty coffins. Just then Valentina and Polvin come into the church confirming Ilyanov's fears, that there are vampires about and Polvin himself, is a vampire. Titov tells Ilyanov that the townspeople have agreed to hide vampires from all over Europe if they would protect them from criminals and wild animals. Valentina wants to kill Ilyanov, but Titov claims it would bring more intruders and that Ilyanov would be an understanding man about their situation. Ilyanov flees the church with Titov, but they are both attacked by wolves and Titov is mortally wounded. Titov dies and Ilyanov surrenders, but Valentina informs him that there is something he could do for them and his nation.

Back in Moscow, Ilyanov informs his boss of the mission results. Titov is posthumously accused of being the murderer and Polvin is left in charge. While he is leaving, Ilyanov's superior says how he wished he had more men like him, to which the Colonel responds that he will indeed, revealing a set of fangs...

This episode was stretched into a half-hour run time for syndication, as recently shown on the Chiller TV network.
