Maureen Reillette "Rebbie" Brown (née Jackson), professionally known as Rebbie Jackson, (born May 29, 1950 in Gary, Indiana) is an American singer, best known as the oldest child of the successful Jackson family and sister of pop icons Michael and Janet. As a singer, she is most famous for the 1984 hit, "Centipede".

Born in Gary, Indiana the oldest child of Katherine and Joseph Jackson. From there she grew up in a very talented musical family background where her brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael known as the Jackson 5 would take the world by storm with their presence.
Career
After participating in her family's Las Vegas shows and later their televised variety show, Rebbie began her music career as a background session singer for such acts as Lou Rawls and Chaka Khan. Rebbie scored a large hit in 1984 with the song "Centipede", written and produced by brother Michael. It reached #24 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #4 on the Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart and helped her debut album (also entitled Centipede) go gold in the US. Subsequent singles from her second and third albums, such as "Play Me (I'm a Jukebox)", "A Fork in the Road" (a cover of The Miracles' 1965 hit), "Reaction", "Plaything" and "You Send the Rain Away", as well as touring, giving live performances around the world, gave her moderate success on the R&B charts, but her pop success was limited. After one last album, 1998's Yours Faithfully, which featured the mildly-successful title track of the same name, Rebbie quietly retired from the music scene, until 2001 when she performed in Las Vegas for six months. Her son Auggie was the guitarist for her Las Vegas act. During the act, she did several of her hits, some Motown classics, and even a few of her brothers' hits.
Personal life
Rebbie has been married to her childhood sweetheart Nathaniel Brown since November 30, 1968. The couple has three children: daughters, Stacee and Yashi, and son, Austin (also known as Auggie.) All three children are singers, with Stacee and Yashi forming a group originally called the X-Girls (now known as Geneva) while Auggie is currently finishing up his debut album. When Rebbie's mother, Katherine Jackson, became a Jehovah's Witness in 1965, Rebbie followed her into the faith. Rebbie's second album for her brother Michael's label featured a song written by Michael for her called Fly Away as well as a Bryan Loren produced song called You Take Me Places. Today she spends most of her time watching her grandson, London Blue.
