Ramat Aviv is a large residential area of several neighbourhoods in the northern part of Tel Aviv. Unofficially, the name is sometimes used for the entire city District 1, the northwestern district of Tel Aviv.
Ramat Aviv is the site of the much appreciated Tel Aviv University and two important museums: the Land of Israel Museum and Beit Hatefutsot (the Nahum Goldmann Museum of the Jewish Diaspora).
Also located in Ramat Aviv are (Sde Dov Airport), the Reading Power Station with some art studios, and the Israel Trade Fairs & Convention Center.

Currently, Ezorei Chen is being expanded into three areas, Gimmel Hachadasha (the New Ramat Aviv Gimmel), Migdaley Chen (the Towers of Chen), and Medoragey Chen (also known as Ezorei Chen 2 or the New Towers of Ezorei Chen).

Ramat Aviv Gimmel was the title of a popular Israeli soap, modelled on Beverly Hills 90210.
History Before the 1948 Arab-Israeli War the Arab village al-Shaykh Muwannis (Arabic ????? ????) was situated in the Ramat Aviv area.
