Qurban Ali Oruzgani was appointed as the Governor of Daykundi Province, Afghanistan
on 15 April 2010.
Brief Biography :
This is Haji Qurban Ali Oruzgani son of Mirza Muhammad Eisa, born in a religious family in 1/1/1337 in a village named Bagh Char in environs of Oruzgan Province. While being a child my father was placed in Helmand Province regarding his governmental occupation. Therefore, we were dwelled in this province in 1343 and I started studying at school that accepting drudgery and back breaking labor I successfully graduated from professional/Technical Agriculture High School in 1357. At the same year I passed Kankor Examination and joined Faculty of Agriculture but due to bleak view and events of those years such as: constrain, choke, limited, and autocratic atmosphere in the environment of university that I was impacted and under constrain to leave education and joined political parties of anti-invasion and revolution against Ex-Soviet Parties and it is also mentionable that I was acting and working in different political and social fields during 60s and 70s. Not only that but also I had studies and researches about legal and political problems and history. And I was a man of influence and consequence among people that I was solving and evicting diverse problems and quarrels.
After September, 11 and political changes throughout the world. Afghanistan was the main source of this crisis and the basic source of Terrorism. Therefore, it was focused and caused the formation of International Coalition against Terrorism, (Bonn) Sessions, Interim Government, Emergency Grand Council (Loya Jirga), Approval of Basic and Fundamental Laws and Presidential Election. I was motivated and persuaded by people of Helmand to nominate myself for provincial Election and the result was salient, I was the second person with having the aggregate high number of votes.
At the rate of hard working and self-denial I was awarded many prominent commendation letters by: NDI Organization, Human Rights, Police Station of Helmand, Habitat, USAID and Local Academic Institute of Philippines.
And it is vital to say that I was officially invited by Britain Ministry of Foreign as representative of Helmand people. Meeting many governmental organizations I visited plethora of Islamic Centers and monumental and important places. Besides, I had another authoritative trip to Philippines.
Courtesy demands that I say I had met Mr. President, Ministers, United nation, European Delegates, Ambassadors and NATO several times in Kabul and Helmand and talked over security, resistance against terrorism, enrichment of military, extinguishing of poppy and narcotics, controlling of borders, equal evolution, revival and reinforcement of education, having good and hygienic services and so on.
It is vital to be said that during fourteen legal elections of provincial council I was elected as assistant of this council and fulfilled my duties.
All in all after that in April 20 according to Mr. Hamid Karzai’s (president) sentence and edict I was chosen as provincial governor of Daikondy Province that I am still having this position and fulfilling my duties.
