The '''Province of Rimini''' ({{lang-it|Provincia di Rimini}}) is a [[Provinces of Italy|province]] in the [[Emilia-Romagna]] region of [[Italy]]. Its capital is the city of [[Rimini]]. It borders the state of [[San Marino]].
==History==
After the referendum of 2006, 7 municipalities of [[Montefeltro]] were detached from the [[Province of Pesaro and Urbino]] ([[Marche]]) to join the Province of Rimini on 15 August 2009. The municipalities are [[Casteldelci]], [[Maiolo]], [[Novafeltria]], [[Pennabilli]], [[San Leo]], [[Sant'Agata Feltria]] and [[Talamello]].

It has an area of 863.58 km², and a total population of 325,219 (2009). There are 27 ''[[comuni]]'' (singular: ''[[comune]]'') in the province, see [[Comuni of the Province of Rimini]].
