Pierino da Vinci (ca. 1529-1553), also known as Pier Francesco di Bartolomeo di Ser Piero da Vinci, was an Italian sculptor who was born in Vinci, Italy. Pierino was the son of Leonardo da Vinci’s younger brother Bartolomeo. Pierino demonstrated talent at an early age and was seen by his family as the successor to Leonardo da Vinci. Pierino studied under both Baccio Bandinelli (1488-1560) and of Niccolò Tribolo (1500-1550). Several sculptures now believed to be by Pierino da Vinci were at one time attributed to Michelangelo.
