The Piano Sonata no. 5 in C major is a composition for piano solo by Serge Prokofiev. It was composed during 1923 in Ettal, by the Bavarian Alps, and dedicated to Pierre Souvtchinski, musicologist friend of the composer. It was revised in 1952-53.
