Peter D. Jacobson (born March 24, 1965) is an American film and television actor.
Jacobson was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Chicago news anchor Walter Jacobson. He has played a recurring role on Law & Order as Randy Dworkin, a crusading defense attorney attached to conservative causes. In 2005, Jacobson played the minor role of Jimmy in the Academy Award Best Picture nominated film Good Night, and Good Luck.

Peter D. Jacobson (born March 24, 1965) is an American film and television actor.
Jacobson was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Chicago news anchor Walter Jacobson. He has played a recurring role on Law & Order as Randy Dworkin, a crusading defense attorney attached to conservative causes. In 2005, Jacobson played the minor role of Jimmy in the Academy Award Best Picture nominated film Good Night, and Good Luck. He also appeared in a guest spot in an episode of Scrubs as Mr. Foster, who was the center of a Morbidity and Mortality Conference in "My Big Bird". He has also appeared in an episode of CSI: Miami as the lawyer of a potential suspect. In the mini-series The Lost Room, he played the drifter Wally Jabrowski, who owned a bus ticket that could teleport anyone to Gallup, New Mexico upon touching it. He played Kenny Kagan, the husband of the titular character in The Starter Wife in 2007. He played the humorless high school teacher Mr. Hosney in Transformers.
More recently he has appeared on House, as Chris Taub, a plastic surgeon hoping to make Gregory House's diagnostics team. In October 2007, he was confirmed as a regular on the show.
According to IMDB, he is a 1987 graduate of Brown University and a 1991 graduate of Juilliard.
