Petalidi has a school, a church, a post office, beaches, banks, hotels, a port and a square (plateia

). The length of the town is about 1 km and residential houses nad buildings are mainly within the beach. The centre is located near the gulf.

The landscape of Petalidi includes rocky mountains with a few bushes covering much of Petalidi and farmlands are around Petalidi. It also has some forests near the centre which include mostly pine trees.

The small bay located north of Petalidi is named Petalidi Bay.

Petalidi also has a monastery located not far from the centre.
