History

Persijap is formed in 11 April 1954. The club has a yoyo club reputation due to its positions in the Liga Indonesia having been relegated and promoted often. Currently, Persijap plays in the Indonesia Super League.
In the 1930's, born in Jepara formed by two Dutch football clubs. Namely Y.V.C (Yapara Voedbal Club) and Alsides. Thus the embryo of Jepara was rooted football since the Dutch colonization. Football Jepara in short span of time has become a popular sport can be. In every corner of the village of football was played. After the Dutch defeated and invaded the nation of Indonesia in Japan, two of the club eventually disbanded. But it turned out later, as sports people, football was increasingly growing. Seeing the development of football in Jepara, Jepara Regent Sahlan Ridwan (1954) wishes to set up a squad's Jepara regency. This idea is based on a growing number of clubs grew. That year later recorded as the anniversary of the founding Persijap Jepara exactly on April 11, 1954.
