Three of the six county's colored Belt Routes connect with and/or run along PA 88. Just as PA 88 enters Bethel Park, the southwest beginning/terminus of the Orange Belt at Clifton Rd. is approached. Further up the road, a portion of the Yellow Belt runs with PA 88 from Broughton Rd. in Bethel Park to Connor Rd. in Castle Shannon. In Overbrook, the Blue Belt joins the last 1/2 mile of PA 88 from McNeilly Rd. to PA 51.
