Petrone was two days shy of his 19th birthday when he accepted his 1924 Gold Medal & tournament top goalscorer award, he remains the youngest football Gold medallist to this day.

The official caps Petrone won stands at 29 with 24 goals however early non FIFA officiated matches would bring this record to 80 caps and 36 goals.
Petrone is currently sixth in the Uruguay top goalscorers list.
