Paul Lauchlan Faux Heelas was Professor in Religion and Modernity in the Department of Religious Studies at The University of Lancaster until June 2010.
He was educated at St Catherine's College, Oxford (BA Geography; Diploma in Anthropology) and Exeter College, Oxford (DPhil Anthropology). He is currently Senior Research Professor at Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
