made it a very popular subject for ship model companies in the 1960s, and it is still popular even as newly manufactured kits in the 2000s. Though less famous than the , it is a much less complex boat to model than a sailing ship, or even compared to destroyers or battleships.

Official

The official model lacks the 37mm antitank gun that was fitted before its fateful last mission.

Revell

Revell released a 1/72 scale kit in the early 1960s, it is still widely available in the 2000s, and reissued a few different boxes.

Lindberg

Lindberg has made a 1/32 scale model since the 1960s, one of the least expensive motorized ship model kits. 1/32 is normally a scale used for fairly large single seat aircraft.

Dumas

Dumas makes fairly expensive wooden and fiberglass models aimed at serious adult hobbyists for R/C conversion.

MicroMachines
