PGO Automobiles is a French car manufacturer, making a small number of exclusive sports cars. Their cars are in the niche market inhabited by Lotus, BMW, Porsche or even Morgan. Their cars are generally regarded as being for enthusiasts looking for individuality and style.
The company was started circa 1985 by two car fans whose initials formed the brand: Prévôt Gilles and Olivier.
The company began by making replicas but soon moved onto producing their own design.
The first of these was the Speedster II, this was a two seater sports car in a retro style but with a modern specification.

The first of these was the Speedster II, this was a two seater sports car in a retro style but with a modern specification. It was first seen at the 2000 Paris Motor Show.
By 2005 the company had been sold to Al Sayer International, they were able to inject much need finance into the company and greater R&D took place. A result of which was the current Cévennes roadster.
At the 2008 Paris show a new model was launched called the Hemera.
