(born 1948) and Perry Joe Smith, Sr. (1943–2009), launched P.K. Smith Motors, which serves Winnfield and Jonesboro

dealer. It was also the Chrysler
outlet until the company pulled out of Winnfield in 2009. Mike Smith co-owned P.K. Smith Motors with his brother. In 1995, Mike Smith was elected to the first of three four-year terms to the Louisiana State Senate
