History

Gerald Aquila starts "Onepoint Project Initiative" in late 2003 with the goal to create an easy-to-use and practical project management solution for small and medium businesses and research institutions.
In 2005 the first public preview of commercial version was shown at SYSTEMS 2005 in October in Munich. Onepoint Software GmbH with headquarters in Graz, Austria was also founded in 2005. First launch of commercial version and first reference customers in 2006. Implementation of IPMA-compliant project management tools took place in 2007. Onepoint Project won the Hagenberg Award for Innovation and Software Quality in 2008. Onepoint's global partner network - first partners in France, Spain, Switzerland - and the expansion to United States together with distributor Randy Hardy Associates took also place in 2008.
Implementation of extended reporting capabilities and launch of OnDemand version happened in 2009. Within the same year: growing customer base in Central Europe, first customers in Western and Northern Europe, the US and Asia.
In 2010: Gartner includes Onepoint into their 2010 Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management together with 28 other vendors worldwide. Onepoint launches integrated agile project management and real-time integration with Atlassian JIRA.
