Part of the village is now used as student housing (German: Studentenviertel auf dem Oberwiesenfeld or Studentendorf).
The student housing area is approved to be demolished. On the night of the 4th of August 2007, a student party turned into
a small riot, leading to heavy vandalism and the destruction of two houses by a set fire. In the night, 150 police officers were sent to control the situation.
