 movie Rollercoaster. The wooden coaster depicted in the movie was called "The Rocket". The last day the park was open to the public was during the filming of Rollercoaster. The Rocket was destroyed as part of the making of The Death of Ocean View Park in 1979.

Ocean View Amusement Park had five coasters, including "The Rocket" and "Figure Seven". The history of the park is featured at the Ocean View Station Museum in Norfolk, Virginia.

Ocean View Amusement Park was torn down and replaced by a beach.
