Nutrition for Learning became a registered charitable organization in 1997 and continues to support student nutrition programs in schools, churches and community centres in the geographical area of Waterloo Region, Canada. These programs are sometimes referred to as breakfast clubs or classroom snack bin programs.

During the 2009/2010 school year Nutrition for Learning supported 103 programs which are run by over 600 community volunteers.
