Norlington School was built in 1903 and was originally a mixed school. It changed to an all-boys school some time before 1985. It was formally a secondary modern school

Sports

The school has enjoyed tremendous sporting success over the years and were crowned national basketball champions in 2003. Last year, the Year 9 cricket team was crowned Waltham Forest and London Cup champions. In 2007, the Year 10 football team became Waltham Forest borough champions. The school won the Waltham Forest cricket cup four years in succession.
