Controversy

On February 2007, the former principal John Acerra was caught selling methamphetamine out of his office at the school. He resigned from his position and was placed in Lehigh County Prison.

Sports

Nitschmann offers various sports teams for the 7th-8th graders. 6th graders can only participate in intramurals.
In the fall, girls can play Volleyball and Field Hockey. They can also be a cheerleader all year long. Boys can play Football. Cross Country is Co-Ed.
In the winter, girls can play Basketball. Boys can play Basketball and Wrestling
In the spring, girls can play softball. Soccer is Co-Ed
