JDC Tribute Series
The Japan Detectives Club was created by Ryusui Seiryoinis a Japanese novelist, active in mystery and various other fields. He was born in 1974, in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. He won the 2nd Mephisto prize in 1996 while in Kyoto University, and started to work as a novelist. After that, Ryusui published over 60 novels. His works are always controversial... , and NisiOisin is one of several authors to write novels using that setting.

Monogatari Series
The series was first created by Nisio Isin as a series of short stories for Mephisto magazine. While his previous Zaregotois a Japanese novel series written by Japanese novelist Nisio Isin and illustrated by Take. The series was published in Japan between February 5, 2002 and November 2005 by Kodansha Books. It was followed by a spin-off series also published by Kodansha Books, , focusing on the Zerozaki clan... series featured large casts of characters, each Bakemonogatari story tends to introduce only one new character. The previously published stories, and some new ones, were eventually collected in two volumes as part of the Kodansha BoxKodansha Box is a publishing line from the major Japanese publishing house, Kodansha. Each book is packaged in a silver cardboard slip cover. Single-handedly edited by Katsushi Ōta who describes the lines as: "A collection of works on the theme of the adolescent mind... launch titles on November 1, 2006 and December 1, 2006. The first volume contains three stories titled {{Nihongo|Hitagi Crab|ひたぎクラブ}}, {{Nihongo|Mayoi Snail|まよいマイマイ}} and {{Nihongo|Suruga Monkey|するがモンキー}}; the second volume comes with two newly written stories titled {{Nihongo|Nadeko Snake|なでこスネイク}} and {{Nihongo|Tsubasa Cat|つばさキャット}}.
A prequel to the series, titled {{Nihongo|Koyomi Vamp|こよみヴァンプ}} was published in the first issue of Pandora magazine, it was later released as a separate volume on May 7, 2008 as {{Nihongo|Kizumonogatari|傷物語||"Scar Story"}}. The first volume of {{Nihongo|Nisemonogatari|偽物語||"Impostory"}}, a sequel to the series, was released on September 2, 2008 and contains {{Nihongo|Karen Bee|かれんビー}}. The second volume, contains {{Nihongo|Tsukihi Phoenix|つきひフェニックス}} was released on June 10, 2009. The first volume of {{Nihongo|Nekomonogatari|猫物語||"Cat Story"}} is a prequel that takes place between Kizumonogatari and Bakemonogatari. It was released on July 28, 2010 and contains {{Nihongo|Tsubasa Family|つばさファミリー}}.
