Ng Chee Khern

Major General Ng Chee Khern 黄志勤 is currently the Director of Singapore's Security and Intelligence Division
. He was formerly the Chief of the Republic of Singapore Air Force
(RSAF).
Prior to his appointment as RSAF Chief, Ng served as second-in-command as Chief of Staff
(Air Staff). He took over the role RSAF Chief of the from Lim Kim Choon
, who retired in March 2006 after serving in the position for five years.
Ng joined the Singapore Armed Forces
(SAF) in 1984, and was a recipient of the President's Scholar
ship in 1984 and the SAF (Overseas) Scholarship in 1985.
Ng was a student of Victoria School
and Hwa Chong Junior College
. He holds a Master of Arts degree in degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford
, and a Master of Public Administration

. He was one of the RSAF's first F-16 pilots, and most recently flew the Northrop F-5E Tiger-II.
