Campus

Nanjing University of Finance & Economics has three campuses. One on Fujian Road in the city center, one at the new university city (Yadong District) 15 km outside Nanjing called XianLin, and a small campus approximately 40 km away from the Nanjing city center in a village called QiaoTou. The university was founded in 2000 by the combination of three universities. A variety of majors/disciplines are available for study. Like at other universities in China, English study is compulsory.

History

The university has evolved from a grain school which was subordinated to the Ministry of Grains in 1956 to many iterations of provincial and national grain schools. It wasn't until 2003, the university became the current Nanjing University of Finance and Economics.

Administration

By 2004, Nanjing University of Finance & Economics had 10 schools and 6 departments offering 31 * undergraduate majors as well as Hong Shan School, a state-owned, privately run subsidiary school.
