One design, featuring four tracks, "One Design", "Awaken", "Save you" and "Underneath the same sun", which wasw released on Mooli Music.
This release attracted the attention of Dido
's former manager, Seven Webster, who signed several tracks to his publishing company A7 Music, and began licensing Mooli's material to chillout compilations, and got them a placing on their first film soundtrack, on the British horror film
, Gnaw, due out in 2009. This film features the song "One design".
They made a music video for the song "Save you", which was put onto the MTV
and VH1
Chillout playlists throughout Europe, gaining them a fanbase amongst downtempo music fans around Europe, and began to appear on numerous Chill out compilations including Cafe Buddha, Future Chill, Hotel Buddha, Electracoustic by Chris Coco, and Fierce Angels by Hed Kandi founder Mark Doyle
.
The debut album Concubine featured eleven tracks, and again was released on Mooli Music. However In 2009, Dance label Toolroom Records began marketing the album online.
' Wasted' by My Digital Enemy features the vocals of Clea Llewellyn, and was a Pete Tong essential tune in 2008, and received large support from the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Erik Morillo,Chris Lake, and Judge Jules, who selected the track for his Judgement Sundays 07 album, on Ministry of Sound. The track was eventually signed to major label, Universal's dance imprint All around the world, and features on numerous compilations, including the Tv advertised Universal album Street Nation.
' San Francisco Rain' was the last single to feature singer/songwriter Clea Llewellyn. The track, previously only available on the Concubine album, was remixed for the dancefloor, by LYS and Chris Lake, and came out on Sept 21st 09 on Rising Music, part of the Three six Zero group, that manage leading dance acts, Calvin Harris, and Deadmau5.
In 2010 new vocalist Kristina Smith, joined the band, as they began recording their second, as yet untitled album.
An Ep, ' The Black Spring EP' was released in December 2010, on Mooli Music, as a download only release, featuring four new songs- ' Black Spring' , ' This Place', ' Here with me' and ' Gliders'. It was the first Mooli release to feature guest vocalists, with Hannah Bradbeer guesting on ' Black Spring' , and Lucy Lawrence providing lead vocals on ' This place' .
