Mohaisen Al-Jam'an

Mohaisen Al-Jam'an in full Mohaisen Mubarak Jam'an Al Dosari (born 1 January 1966) is a former Saudi
football (soccer)
player. He represented the Saudi national team during the period 1984-1994.
at an early age and remained with that team all his playing career. He immediately showed the skills of a promising striker. His quick improvement while playing for the under-16 squad convinced the team officials to promote him to the under-20 and then quickly to the first team. In one period, he played for all three.
His breakthrough came in 1984 when he was selected to the national team trying to qualify for the 1984 Summer Olympics
. At only 17 years old he was the youngest Saudi at the time to play an international match. In the tournament he scored 5 goals in 4 matches, all played in Singapore
. Combined with teammate Majed Abdullah they lead the team to the top spot and qualified for the Olympics.
Al-Jam'an was loved by the Saudi and Asian fans alike, and the Asian media nicknamed him "The Cobra" due to his elastic moves and dribbling style.
. In December 1984, the national team was playing in the Asian Nations Cup held in Singapore. Al-Jam'an was a starter in all of the matches and played a major role in his country's winning the cup. He scored a goal against Kuwait
that took his team to the semi-final. Al-Jam'an had his greatest performances and scored his most memorable goals during that year.
Two years later, the Saudis failed to qualify for the 1986 FIFA World Cup
, but made up for it by winning the Asian cup
for a second consecutive time in 1988. This time, Mohaisen was the experienced player used by coach Carlos Alberto Parreira
as a starter or a replacement from game to game.
After 1998, he was out of the national team most of the time. He rejoined them during the qualifying rounds of the 1994 World Cup (in which the Saudis qualified) but that was his last appearance with the Saudi national squad and he did not play in any World Cup matches.
With Al Nasr he would win the league title three times (1989, 1994, 1995) the King's cup three times (1986, 1987, 1990), Gulf champions league twice (1996, 1997), Saudi Arabia Football Federation
cup (1998), Asian Cup Winners Cup
(1998) and Asia's Super cup (1999).
In 2000 winning Asia's super cup entitled Al Nasr to play in the inaugural 2000 FIFA Club World Championship
held in Brazil
. Mohaisen played in all three matches, against Real Madrid
of Spain (lost 1-3), Corinthians
of Brazil (lost 0-2) and Raja
of Morocco (won 4-3).
Mohaisen retired from play soon after that tournament and is currently working as Al-Nasr's team administrative manager.

The exhaustion
After the instant success of 1984, and instead of giving him time to develop and enhance in a steady way, the national team and Al Nasr coaches overused him. He played for the Saudi first team, the Saudi Under-20 team, Al Nasr first and Under-20 teams, all at the same time.After 1998, he was out of the national team most of the time.
