Mithridates III Antiochus Epiphanes, also known as Mithridates III Commagene (Greek: ? ??T??d?t?? ??t????? ?p?fa???) was a man of Armenian and Greek descent, who lived in the 1st century BC. He was a prince of Commagene. Mithridates was the son and successor of King Mithridates II of Commagene and Queen Laodice of Commagene.
Mithridates sometime after 30 BC, had married Princess of Media and daughter of King Artavasdes I of Media, Iotapa. Iotapa had borne Mithridates a son, Antiochus III of Commagene and a daughter, Iotapa. They also had another daughter called Iotapa, who married King Sampsiceramus II of Emesa (modern Homs, Syria). When Mithridates’ father died in 20 BC, he succeeded his father. He reigned as king between 20 BC-12 BC. Very little is known on his life and his reign as King. When he died in 12 BC, Antiochus III of Commagene became king. Antiochus III ruled with his sister and they had married each other.
