History

Metropolis was opened in October 2005 with 550000 sq ft (51,096.7 m²) of retail, restaurants and entertainment venues. Once complete in 2008, the center will encompass 850000 sq ft (78,967.6 m²).

Phase I is almost complete, with most shops filled. Phase II was supposed to begin in Spring-Summer 2007 and be nearly double the size of Phase I. However, because of bankruptcy, Phase II is on hold and the company that owns the property, Pinnacle, is looking to sell the mall.
