Career

Martínez was part of the U-23 Honduran National Football Team that competed in the Beijing Olympic Games. He was the youngest player to travel with the team, being only 19 years old.

He took part of the U-20 Honduran National Football Team that qualified for the U-20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009.

He was spotted by Norwegian scouts during the tournament against Trinidad and Tobago and shortly after signed a contract with Norwegian side, Vålerenga

. He also traveled alongside U-20 teammate, Reinieri Mayorquín who signed with Aalesunds FK.

In January 2010, he went to the Belgian team RSC Anderlecht. He just become a player of Royal Football Club of Anderlecht in Belgium (they are first in the competition at this moment). He will play there for 6months rents.

On September 4, 2010, Martínez made his debut for the Honduras National Team in a match against El Salvador, where Honduras won 4-3 via penalty shootout due to a 2-2 tie in regular time. He assisted the first goal for Honduras, thus helping his team to the Copa Independencia.
