Mario Almada (actor)

Mario Almada Otero is a Mexican actor. His career has run for over seventy years. He is mostly known for his roles in Mexican urban westerns and action cinema, often portraying the 'good guy'. The IMDB lists him appearing in about three hundred films. Even though his popularity has declined since the 80's, he continues to be one of Mexico's most popular film figures, the most well-known in the genre. He is brother of actor Fernando Almada.

Biography

He was born in Huatabampo Sonora, but his parents soon changed their residence to Ciudad Obregón

. Coming from a family closely tied to the entertainment industry, he first worked at a night club owned by his father called Cabaret Señorial. By then, his brother Fernando had already started his career as an actor, which led Mario to become producer and director for his first films, writing his first movie script in 1963. Since then he has been working in this industry, acting, directing and producing. His long career and filmography earned him the Guinness World Records
