Adult film career
Marilyn was the first
woman in the
pornographic film industry to actually make any real
money and achieve some sort of power status. She is rightfully regarded as the precursor to and role model for such modern female thespian power figures as
Jenna Jameson.
Marilyn first came to the public's attention at age seventeen as the cover girl on the
Ivory Snow® soap box, where she posed holding the baby. The product's manufacturer,
Proctor & Gamble quickly dropped her after it discovered her double life as an adult film actress. For

, Marilyn asked the Mitchell Brothers, Artie and Jim, for a percentage of the gross, never expecting that they would agree. After filming concluded, she dropped the

In
Behind the Green Door, Marilyn engaged in explicit interracial sex with the very well-endowed African-american actor, Johnny Keyes. The industry and viewing public was

Marilyn was married for a time to porn producer/director, Chuck Traynor and gave birth to a daughter. It was during this marriage that she acquired an interest in motorcycle riding. Traynor's reputation for handing out abuse took an understandably and brutally tough toll on his first wife,
Linda Lovelace, but in Marilyn's case, the result was far different. She did not break down in the face of her husband's abuse. She never lost her innate self-confidence; she asserted herself, took charge of her career, and divorced the batterer in 1985.
Some years ago while fueling her just-ridden chopper, Marilyn severely burned her legs on the engine and muffler. Thereafter, few of her movies would expose her legs or feet. Instead, they focused on her uninjured assets: her genitalia, buttocks, breasts, and oral sex skills. Another asset, her indefatigable and optimistic sense of humor, continues to served her well through a lengthy, and sometimes rocky, star-studded career.
