Malenadu covers the western and eastern slopes of the [[Western Ghats]], roughly 100 kilometers in width. Malenadu covers portions of the [[Shimoga district|Shimoga]], [[Chikmagalur]], [[Uttara Kannada]], [[Kodagu]] and [[Hassan district]]s.
