Born in Northern Ireland and based in Belfast, with brown hair, green eyes and a height of 5' 6", Maggie trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, which was absorbed into the Central School of Speech and Drama in 2006.

She is best known for her role as Kate McGuire in BBC's 'Doctors', a role she played from the dramas inception on 26 March 2000 to her leaving on 26 May 2006.

Her theatre work includes roles such as Joy Gresham in 'Shadowlands' (at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast), Titania in 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' (at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast) and Rita in 'Unless' (Scarborough).
