Lucknow Metro Rail gets a blueprint from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

The Draft Detailed Project Report has been submitted to LDA by DMRC & SREI. There are certain issues on integration of the Airport with the metro line. Government has to take a call on the type of station they want at the airport. In brief, there are 21 stations proposed on the North-South corridor (Airport to Munshi Pulia) out of 21, 6 stations are underground. Number of stations proposed on the East-West corridor are 12 out of which 7 stations are underground. Both the corridors will integrate at the Lucknow Railway Station at Charbagh & the stations on both lines will be underground. After the high level meeting with Chief Secretary and Divisional Commissioner, it was decided to take the metro line to Gomti Nagar. So a 3.5 km of line has been proposed from Indira Nagar Polytechnic Trisection Station on the North-South corridor towards Patrakarpuram in Gomti Nagar. There will be three elevated stations in this route.
