In reality, D'Angeli was already on ECW's payroll and was planted in the crowd to further the Dudley Family angle. D'Angeli would go on to be trained as manager by Tommy Dreamer and Tazz.

D'Angeli, who lives in Las Vegas, is married to wife Brooke and has two daughters. D'Angeli is working on several non-wrestling screenplays and is in the middle of production for a music documentary called All Ages Sunday (AllAgesSunday.com).

D'Angeli currently is shopping a wrestling themed screenplay that is under professional rewrite after the script was said to have "addressed what The Wrestler" missed. D'Angeli was quoted at his last WWE appearance as saying "if this screenplay ever goes anywhere I have to be prepared to never be involved in wrestling again." The screenplay us rumored to sit with a production company in Hollywood.

D'Angeli was rumored at several times, through his friendship with Billy Corgan, to have close friendships with Drew Barrymore
