 but can be launched from China's other satellite launch centers. The Long March 2D made its maiden flight on 9 August 1992. It is most commonly used to launch FSW-2 and 3 reconnaissance satellites.

Launches

The Long March 2D made its maiden flight on 9 August 1992. It has so far had a perfect launch record of 15 consecutive successful launches. On 25 May 2007, a Long March 2D conducted China's 100th successful orbital launch, when it placed the Yaogan 2 satellite into orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in northwest China's Gansu Province.
It also successfully launched the Yaogan-4 satellite on 1 December 2008. This was the 113th launch of China's Long March series of rockets.
